The Simplest Chocolate Puddings Recipe

May 10, 2012 | No Comment |

If you always liked chocolate puddings but had no idea how to make them, don’t worry, you are not alone, we all do love chocolate puddings, and it is time for all of us to know how to make this wonderful dessert. For starters, the ingredients are as followed:

Chocolate Puddings

Two and a half cups of milk, ¾ cup of white sugar, 3 spoons of corn flour, four big egg yolks, 1/8 teaspoon of salt, 1/3 cup of cocoa powder, half a cup of whipping cream, four ounces of semisweet chocolate finely chopped, one tablespoon of unsalted butter, one and a half teaspoons of pure vanilla extract and lastly, lightly sweet whipped cream.

And now, for the cooking procedure, first you put the cornstarch, the sugar, the salt and the cocoa powder in a large stainless steel pan which is heat proof. Then shake the half cup of milk until it is transformed into a thick paste. Then add the egg yolks one by one, only one at a time. Then it is time to whisk them with the cocoa mixture until they become one blend, then put this blend aside and heat the milk and cream. Then you should get a medium sized strainer and have it ready near a bowl at the stove, because after the pudding is coked you should strain it.

You should always use a saucepan in order to prevent the scorching of the milk and make sure to rinse the saucepan with pure water. After doing so, put the remaining milk and mix it with the cream on the saucepan. Then heat that mixture on low heat until it boils, and remove it as soon as the milk starts to foam up on the saucepan. After it boils, put all of the milk with the egg yolk mixture and blend it until the surface of the mix becomes smooth. After this, move the pudding mix into another big saucepan and put that sauce pan on a medium to low heat stove. Keep stirring the mix for about 5 minutes until it become thick as mayonnaise. Then make sure to strain it to avoid any scorching. Make sure that you attend to the bottom of the saucepan in order to avoid any sticking of the mixture. Then it’s the moment we all wait for, add the chopped chocolate to the mixture alongside the vanilla and then, voila, the pudding is served.

As for the serving of the pudding, it can be accompanied by a wine glass or on a small bowl with small spoons. The best thing about to as well that it can be served hot or cold. Each one has its own taste when it comes to this.
